Today, we’re starting a new product-development initiative at Rine: Project FireHarness.

Rine is building infrastructure for software and AI companies working with engineering files and technical information.

Over the past several weeks, one problem has continued to surface in different forms: valuable engineering information often lives inside drawings, specifications, models, attachments, technical documents, and other files — while the software products built around those workflows ultimately need reliable, structured data.

FireHarness is our exploration of that boundary.

The Core Thesis
Engineering files and technical documents → trustworthy structured information → software-usable workflow data.

We’re exploring how Rine can help software systems extract, interpret, validate, normalize, and trace engineering information so that it can be consumed reliably inside downstream workflows and APIs.

How FireHarness Will Be Developed

The exact product is deliberately not fixed yet.

FireHarness will be developed through real customer workloads: representative files, explicit desired outputs, measurable quality requirements, and direct feedback from the software teams that would ultimately depend on the infrastructure.

Our goal is not to build another generic document parser. It is to identify the recurring technical-information problems that engineering software companies should not have to solve repeatedly — and turn those problems into dependable infrastructure.

More soon.
